What is Raglan Sleeve?
Raglan sleeve is a type of sleeve whose distinguishing characteristic is to extend in one assembles fully to the collar, leaving a diagonal seam from underarm to collarbone. It is popular in sports- and exercise wear, and named after the 1st Baron Raglan, potential coz it was designed to fit his coat for the arm lost in the Battle of Waterloo. These sleeves are often shorter, usually half- or three quarter-length. A “Raglan Tee” may also be consider a “baseball shirt.”
The raglan sleeve is exact for jackets and coats due to the fact that it allow for more room. The raglan sleeve is wider in the underarm area than other sleeve designs, and the rest of the sleeve fits approximately as well.
