Rheology
What is Rheology?
Rheology is the study of the flow of matter primarily in the liquid state, but also as ’soft solids’ or solids under specify in which they respond with plastic flow rather than modify material in response to an applied force. Rheology is the study of the mechanical conception of condensed matter and in particular complex fluids.
Composite fluids are concern coz they exhibit both an elastic and viscous reaction and exhibit a non-linear relationship amongst the shear rate and strain. Rheology applies to property which have a complex molecular structure, such as muds, sludges, suspensions, polymers and other glass formers
The rheologist can work in many fields, including pharmaceutics and engineering. Rheology is principally pertaining with extending the “classical” field of elasticity and (Newtonian) fluid mechanics to materials whose mechanical action cannot be inform with the classical theories.
