Interactive art is a form of installation-supported art that involves the observer in a way that allows the art to achieve its purpose. Interactive art can be distinguished from Generative art, Electronic art, or Immersive virtual world in that it constitutes a dialogue between the art work and the participant.
Interactive designers are often commissioned for museum displays; a number specialize in wearable computing.
Interactive art is a genre of art in which the viewers participate in some way by providing an input. This undeveloped genre of art is continuing to grow and evolve in a somewhat rapid manner through internet social sub-culture. Interactive art involves the viewers in some way in order to decide the outcome.
Aside from this “political” view, it was also current wisdom that interaction and participation had a confident part to play within the creative process. It was also current wisdom that interaction and engagement had a convinced part to play within the creative process.
