Urinary tract infections are inducing by germs, generally bacteria that enter the urethra and then the bladder. Urinary tract infections can lead to infection, most usually in the bladder itself, which can disseminate to the kidneys. The special connection of the ureters at the bladder assist prevent urine from backing up into the kidneys, and the flow of urine by the urethra helps to eliminate bacteria. Men, women, and children originate UTIs.

Symptoms
Cloudy or bloody urine, which may have a foul or strong odor
Low fever
Flank (side), back, or groin pain
Strong need to urinate often, even right after the bladder has been emptied
Pressure or cramping in the lower abdomen
Nausea and vomiting
Severe abdominal pain
Pain or burning with urination
Chills and shaking or night sweats
Fatigue and a general ill feeling
Fever above 101 degrees Fahrenheit
Flushed, warm, or reddened skin
Mental changes or confusion
