A vocational school offered vocational education, is a school in which students are instructed the skills demanded to accomplish a particular job. Traditionally, vocational schools have not existed to further education in the sense of liberal arts, but rather to teach only job-specific skills, and as such have been better considered to be institutions committed to training, not education.
Vocational education or vocational education and training (VET), also named career and technical education (CTE), educates trainees for jobs that are based on manual or practical actions, traditionally non-academic, and wholly linked to a particular trade, occupation, or vocation. Generally, the terms vocation and career are used interchangeably. Vocational education may be classified as teaching procedural knowledge
