Impetigo is an infection of the skin occurred by streptococcus or staphylococcus aureus. It can be very contagious, especially among children, and it needs proper treatment right away. There are many wrong suggestions on the Internet for how to handle impetigo, some of which even suggest leaving it along or merely soaking the infection regularly in several substances.
Impetigo is a skin disease that is generally occurred at younger ages (2-8 years), although in some cases it can affect teenagers and even adults. Scratching off the infected skin and then touching another person’s skin can easily carry the impetigo infection, but it should be noted that the disease cannot be extend by air, unless a person symptoms directly on another’s skin.
Impetigo Symptoms
The injuries caused by the impetigo streptococci are commonly surrounded by reddened, rashing skin and the injuries themselves look like little pimples. It’s very easy to confuse impetigo coughs with those occurred by a mosquito or bug bite as the forming crust looks same.
