Maxilla
The maxilla is the biggest bones of the face, excluding the mandible, and form, by their union, the whole of the upper jaw. The maxilla, also known as the mustache bone, is a fusion of two bones along the palatal fissure that form the upper jaw. This is same as to the lower jaw, which is also a fusion of two divisions at the mental symphysis.

The alveolar procedure of the maxilla applies the upper teeth, and is denoted to as the maxillary arch. The maxilla connects laterally to the cheek bones.
