Sometimes denoted to as an uneven lot, a broken lot is a bank of shares of equip that are less than one hundred shares for most kinds of stock, or less than ten shares of a stock that is lightly exchanged. Less than the ideal amount in which product is generally extended for sale. For example, a eating room set might be extended as a broken lot at a big discount because it considers five rather than six chairs.
Normally, shares are exchanged in what is recognized as a round lot. A round lot is determined as a bank of one hundred shares of stock. A broken lot can also be a great manner for a new capitalist to start construction a portfolio. This is particularly true for stockholders who have determined funds to spend in the acquisition of shares.
