Cnidarians are some of the merest and most lovely “animals.” These animals are flower-like and match plants in many considers. However, they have a mouth and a simple substance scheme at the center of their influences. Because of these two characteristics, these creatures are regarded animals and not plants. There are 9000 forms of Cnidarians. Their recognizing characteristic is cnidocytes, elaborated cells that they usage primarily for catching prey. Their bodies comprise of mesoglea, a non-living jelly-like content, inserted between two layers of epithelium that are generally one cell thick.
Features of Cnidarians
1. Two tissue layers with heart and muscle tissues
2. Nematocysts: structures included in particular cells named cnidocytes or cnidoblasts that can act in both crime and defense
3. Two primary life forms: free-swimming medusa or stationary polyp
