An appellee is a person who has obtained a judgment in a lawsuit that is being challenged through the other company. The appellee is generally the person who wins the case, and the conclusion is then challenged by the appellant, or the loser. At times, however, both the succeeding and losing companies can be the appellee depending on the luck.
When a party is included in a civil lawsuit, he or she is registered as either the plaintiff or the suspect. If a party is included in a criminal suit, the prosecutor or government brings a suit against the person, who is named the suspect. In a civil suit, either company can lose the case and appeal. In a criminal suit, either party can lose the case, but only the suspect can appeal. An appeal happens after the court provides a conclusion.
