Jane Barbe was an American voice actress recognized as the “Time Lady” for the transcriptions she arrived at for the Bell System and other phone organizations. Starting a voice recording career for the Audichron organization in 1963, Jane Barbe turned recognized as the “Time and Temperature Lady” or merely the “Telephone Lady.” Hers is the voice everybody in America got habituated to listening when dialing a number that was disconnected, changed, or no longer in service.
She was endured in Florida in 1928, Jane Barbe grew in Atlanta, Georgia and learned drama at the University of Georgia where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She entered her first commercial when functioning as a copywriter. She started recording the time, fundamental measure, and weather for Audichron in 1963 and also recorded outgoing messages for early voice mail schemes. By the 1980s, Jane Barbe was the voice of entered messages on phone employment all over the United States.
