Penny Loafers
The Penny Loafers were founded in 1986 as a coeducational a cappella group from the University of Pennsylvania focusing on pop and rock music. The musical focus of the group has shifted towards modern rock and pop, though any given semester’s set list includes a few eclectic choices, from jazz to indie.
The Penny Loafers latest album, Prophets and Pawns, was selected as a RARB.org Pick of ‘08. Center City’s First Fridays, and holiday parties, and outside the city we sing with groups at other colleges. They have performed at many events around campus, including President Rodin’s farewell, Freshman Convocation, and events for the Alumni Association and Office of Admissions, Family Weekend, as well as shows sponsored by Penn advocacy groups and local charities.
