Rosehip Oil
What is rosehip oil?
Rose Hip Oil is extracted from the seeds contained in the intensely red berry-like fruits -or hips- of a wild rose-bush that grows in the cool, lush mountain rainy valleys of the southern Andes, in Chile. RoseHip Oil also has a high content of unsaturated essential fatty acids, namely oleic (15-20%), linoleic (44-50%) and linolenic (30-35%). Rose Hip Oil applied twice a day every day for about three months reduces scar tissues, helps to prevent and reduce stretch marks, and attenuates wrinkles & age spots.
Rose hip oil is also renowned for its benefits for the skin. In fact, it has multiple benefits. Rose hip oil is fruit oil extracted from the hip or fruit of the rose. Rose hips are thought to be richer in vitamin C than many citrus fruits hence their traditional use in teas and syrups. Rosehip oil comes from the “hip” of the rose, which is the seed pod or fruit of the rose that occurs after the rose petals fall off. This oil is extremely beneficial for the skin.
