Active Denial System
How the active denial system works?
The Active Denial System is a minus-lethal, conducted-force weapon formulated by the U.S. military. It is a strong millimeter-wave transmitter primarily used for control. Some ADS such as HPEM ADS are also used to injure vehicles. Informally, the weapon is also called pain ray. Raytheon is currently marketing a became-range version of this technology. The ADS was deployed in 2010 with the United States military in Afghanistan.
The system will be measured in helping troops in securing base perimeters, checkpoints and entry control points during military operation and humane assistance, and crowd spread. ADS projects a focused millimeter wave energy beam which induces intolerable waking sense on an adversary’s skin and cause that individual to be repelled without injury. ADS were developed by Raytheon Company for the US Air Force Research Laboratory (ARL) and DOD Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate.
