What is treat fibroid pain?
Uterine fibroids are kind (non-cancerous) developments in the uterus made up of powerful and fibroid tissue. Fibroids, also known as uterine leiomyomata, may either grow as a single tumor or in clusters. A wide variety of symptoms can accompany fibroids. However, fibroids are not the only reason why a woman may experience some of these symptoms. Some of the symptoms can cause pain that ranges from mild to chronic. Treatment for fibroids will depend on many factors such as severity of symptoms, the woman’s age and general health.
Women with fibroids usually have periods that last longer and are much heavier than usual. This heavy bleeding may also lead to anemia and exhaustion. Sometimes the shape of the uterus will become distorted and press against other organs. Fibroids are muscular tumors that grow in the wall of the uterus (womb). Another medical term for fibroids is “leiomyoma” or just “myoma”. Fibroids are almost always benign (not cancerous).
