A distribution manager usually must have excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to ensure that workers stay on task at distribution centers and that product are delivered to their destinations in an accurate, timely manner.

The goal of a distribution manager is to increase profits by examining market courses and sending only those items that are likely to sell. Managers usually can maintain good relatives with consumers and retailers by ensuring that deliveries consistently arrive on time and popular products are always kept in stock. The manager is often responsible for hiring and training new workers, conducting routine performance reviews, and addressing questions and concerns from workers.
