University of Calicut, Calicut the 2nd university to be established in Kerala, came into existence in 1968. As many as 286 colleges are connected to the University.The Department is one of the first University Departments in Kerala to provide Management courses. In addition, the Department has apparatus four Satellite centers at Palakkad, Thrissur, Calicut and Vatakara where MBA Regular Programme is extended in self-financing mode. The placement agency of the Department has a good track of serving students find placements in several management systems. The full time MBA programme has the accreditation from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The candidate Selection is based on Common Admission Test (CAT) followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) held at University.
