Shivaji University at Kolhapur was launched in 1962 by Dr. Radhakrishnan, the then President of India. One of the major aims behind origination of this University was to provide to the regional demands of South Maharashtra. It has about 250 affiliated colleges. Shivaji University provides Certificate, Diploma, Degree, Master Degree, PhD and M Phil courses in several fields. The dominance of the university is spread over Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara and Solapur districts. National Assessment and Accreditation Council, NAAC Bangalore has rated it B+ university.

Eligibility:
A candidate should have a Master’s Degree with minimum 60% marks from any recognized University.

Selection process
Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in PhD Entrance Examination and an interview to be held at University.

The candidates can get the application form from the official website of Shivaji University and also get from the university counters. Candidate who wants to apply has to carry filled registration form, support documents & D/D to the Test center for Registration & appointment.
