Year up NYC is a year long intensive technology preparing and apprenticeship program associating citified young adults to corporate careers and post-secondary education. Year Up’s aim is to close the possibility separate by rendering urban young adults with the abilities, experience, and back that will authorize them to reach their potential by professional careers and higher education. Year Up finds this position unacceptable, and is straining to address it.
Year up Boston started in January of 2001 to a class of twenty-two students. Now functioning more than two hundred students every year at sites in downtown Boston, Year Up Boston extends to present the productive affect the program has on the lives of our urban young adults. With more then forty embodied internship partners, hundred community partners and three hundred volunteers, the commitment of the communities in which function has been animating and prompting. Year Up expects ahead to continuing to work together and to elaborating Boston site in 2008.
