The Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, is one such Institute where a person with attitude is trained to develop the essential skills to have a larger career in hospitality industry. The Institute was based by the Government of India, Ministry of Tourism, in the Union Territory of Pondicherry in October 1991 and is at present being sponsored by the Government of Pondicherry also with a prime aim of developing human resource for the hospitality industry. PIHMCT offers 3 year diploma course in hotel management and catering technology, and one and a half year craft courses. Besides, it offers job opportunities to the youth in a broad range. Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology is invites applications for admission to the 3 year Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology program for the academic year 2011.

Eligibility for Admission:
The Candidate should have passed 10+2 for admission in graduation Program from any recognized Board.
Important Dates:
Last Date of Submission for application form: Second week of May, 2011
The dates for the examination are normally given in the month of July. For the convenience of the students the examination is not taken on a single date. Rather it varies and broadly is fixed on more than one date. The dates usually comprise, the commencing of the month, the mid as well as in the end of the month.
Selection Procedure:
Selection of the candidate will be made on the written test followed by personal interview of candidate. The candidate selection is also based on the rules and regulation of the Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
Admit Card
Admit card will be available online and sent to all applicants on their email address. It will not be sent by post. Candidates need to paste their photograph and sign at the needed place on both the Admit Card and application and get their sign and photograph.
How two apply for PIHMCT Exams:
The application form for admission in PIHMCT can be obtained by cash payment from admission office of PIHMCT by cash payment and by Sending DD. Submit the Complete Fill-up application form along with all Required Documents and Fee through DD to admission office of institute before the last date of Receipt application form.
