Jawaharlal Nehru University JNU M.Tech Entrance Exam
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is declared notification for M. Tech in Biotechnology program for the upcoming session 2012. The combined Biotechnology Entrance Exam for admission into M. Tech in Biotechnology is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi for different participating Universities. The admission to M.Tech programme is based on an All India Examination, conducted by the University at different centres spread all over the country, followed by an extensive interview. JNU will announce the entrance examination for admission to various programmes and also the Combined M.Tech programme entrance exam. The candidates involved to the programme are eligible for the award of M.Tech degree in Biotechnology on successful completion of the Programme. JNU conducts the Combined Biotechnology entrance exam for admission to Anna University Chennai and West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata.

Eligibility criteria:-
The candidates must have complete B.Tech. Or B.E. or equivalent degree in any branch of Engineering, B.Pharm degree or equivalent from a accredited University or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or Statistics or Operational Research or in any branch of Science or Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering or Master of Computer Applications (MCA) with at least 55% marks from a recognized University.
Selection Procedure:-
Selection of the candidates will be done in accordance with their inter-se merit drawn on the basis of All India Entrance Test equivalent the preference of Universities exercised by candidates in their application form.
Important Dates (Tentative):-
Date of issue of Application Forms: first week of February, 2011
Last date for issue of Application Forms: a) by post: first week of March, 2011
by cash : March, 2011
Last date for submission of completed Application Forms: Mid March, 2011
Date and time of Entrance Examination: Third week of May, 2011
Results of Entrance Examination: June/July 2011
Application Forms
Application Forms can be submitted by Registered Post to Section Officer (Admissions), Room No.28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi – 110067 or dropped in the Box in the Administrative Block of the University. The application forms must reach the JNU on or before Mid, March 2011.
