Consortium on Micropropagation Research and Technology Development

Consortium on Micropropagation Research and Technology Development is located at New Delhi, India. The main objective behind the organization of Micropropagation Technology Parks was to serve as an interface between educational/research institutions and industrial units. Consortium on Micropropagation Research and Technology Development main purpose of facilities is to produce big elite planting material of several forest species by tissue culture technology and thereby bridge the gap among the laboratory and the field. Recently however, several plant tissue culture laboratories and commercial facilities have been establish, which are generating quite a large number of tissue culture-raised commercial crops and forest trees. Consortium on Micropropagation Research and Technology Development objective is to serve as a platform for effective transfer of proven technologies to entrepreneurs. This included catering the required infrastructure, knowledge, training etc. needed for large-scale production.
