The National Institute of Technology, Raipur (NIT Raipur), generally known as Government Engineering College, Raipur is a technical institution funded by the Government of India, situated in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. National Institute of Technology is conduct on AIEEE (All India Entrance Examination for Engineering) 2011 for M.Tech., Ph.D., B.Tech./B.Arch., MCA Courses admission in 2011. The NITs offer admissions to the students only on the basis of AIEEE (All India Entrance Examination for Engineering). Eligibility for Admission:-
For admission in BE / B Tech / UG / Undergraduate:
The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary or 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
For admission in ME / M Tech / PG / Postgraduate
Aspiring Candidate must be a graduate in the field of science or engineering fulfilling the eligibility requirement as required by the respective disciplines.
For admission in MCA:
Minimum Educational qualification required for admission to the MCA course is scoring minimum 60% marks (6.5/10 CGPA) in the examinations of class 12th, Graduation with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics as one of the subjects.
Admission Procedure:-
The undergraduate admissions are based on the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) organized by CBSE, India.
The postgraduate admissions are based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
The postgraduate admissions for Master in Computer Application are done on the basis of NIMCET.

All eligible applicants for AIEEE 2011 will be able to download their Admit Cards from nitrr.ac.in using the application number and date of birth as user ID and password respectively, during Mid January. 2011.

branches.
How to Apply:-
The filled in applications along with a crossed DD towards application fee drawn in favour of “Director NIT Raipur” payable at Raipur should reach Registrar, NIT Raipur in an A4 size envelop with overleaf mention of “Ph.D. Admission for Academic Year 2011”.
