Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management admission to the programme shall be done by an admission process for the performance in IITTM Admission Test. Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM), an independent organization of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, is one of the major institutes in the country providing education, training, research and consultancy in sustainable management of tourism, travel and other allied sectors. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a programme of Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) authorized by AICTE and is equivalent to MBA programme. This PGDM of IITTM shall focus on management of tourism and travel. It is committed to the pursuit of higher knowledge in tourism and its dissemination to a diverse audience. Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management invites applications for admission to the following PGDM Courses (2010 – 2012), sanctioned by A1CTE and equivalent to MBA.

Courses are conducted for the Entrance Exam:-
Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM)
Duration: 2 Years.
Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Tourism and Travel)
Duration: 2 Years.
Post Graduate Diploma in Management (International Business)
Duration: 2 Years.
Bachelors of Tourism and Management (BTM)
Duration: 3 years.

Eligibility for Admission:-
The eligibility criterion for the post graduate courses is a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) from a recognized university with 50% marks (45% for SC, ST). The eligibility criterion for Bachelors degree is a pass in class 12 in any discipline.

Admission Procedure:-
Admission to the PGDTM programme is made on the basis of overall performance in an aptitude test held in the second week of May, Group discussion, and personal interview.

Selection Process:-
The candidates are selected on the basis of their marks in the CAT entrance test (conducted by IIMs), which is followed by group discussion and personal interview.

Reservation:-
There will be reservation for SC/ST/PH candidates as per rules of the institute/ Government of India.

Online Admit Card/Hall Ticket:-
Online Admit Card/Hall Ticket will be available online and sent to all applicants on their email address. It will not be sent by post. Candidates need to paste their photograph and sign at the needed place on both the Admit Card and application and get their sign and photograph.

How to apply:-
Complete application in the prescribed format as given on our website www.iittm.org should reach the IITTM office on the address given below latest by March 19, 2010 by post/ by hand along with a demand of prescribed amount of The Director, IITTM payable at Gwalior.

Examination centers:-
Gwalior, Bhubaneshwar, New Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Patna, Mumbai, Kolkata and Jaipur

Examination Pattern:-
The written test consists of sections on English ability, Quantitative ability, Reasoning and Awareness of national and global issues. There are a total 200 questions to be answered in 150 minutes. Wrong answers carry negative marks.

The IITTM Placement Committee offers overall supervision and directions for summer internship as well as final placement of the students.
