Pearl Academy of Fashion is a First in rank or degree fashion, design and management institute of India offering variety of courses in design, fashion management and retail. It will conduct the PAF entrance test for admission to its 4-year degree courses in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising & Production, Fashion Retail & Merchandising, Communication Design, Textile Design and Jewelry Design. Obtaining the Application Form:
The application forms and prospectus for admission to various undergraduate courses at Pearl Academy of Fashion can be obtained by sending a request along with a crossed demand draft of prescribed fees made in favor of “Pearl Academy of Fashion” payable at New Delhi. One can also procure the application forms and prospectus from the Academy’s counter against cash payment of prescribed fess. You can also download it from the institute’s website www.pearlacademy.com.
Submitting the Application Form:
The duly filled application form should reach the Pearl Academy of Fashion, A-21/13, Naraina Industrial Area, Phase II, and New Delhi 110028 on or before test date. It can be sent either by post or courier
Admission Procedure for UG Programmes
Tests for FMP, FRM
Candidates answer a 60-minute General Proficiency Test (GPT) in English language to demonstrate their proficiency in language (comprehension, vocabulary, and expression), basic arithmetic, logic etc. Successful candidates from the GPT are called for further screening through Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Tests for FD, TD, CD, JD
Candidates answer the General Proficiency Test (GPT) in English language to demonstrate their proficiency in language (comprehension, vocabulary and expression), basic arithmetic, logic etc. They thereafter appear in the Design Aptitude Test (DAT) which examines a candidate’s aptitude for creativity, drawing and communication skills.
Candidates who score above the cut-off score from GPT and DAT are called for Situational Test and Personal Interview.
Admission Procedure for PG Programmes
Tests for FM, GM, FR, FMG
Candidates answer a 60 minute General Proficiency Test (GPT) in English language to demonstrate their proficiency in language (comprehension, vocabulary, expression), mathematics (10th standard), logic, etc. Candidates who answered any AIMA-MAT tests held in the twelve months prior to the date of the Academy’s entrance exam (see instructions in accompanying Declaration Form) and had scored at least 500 will not have to appear in the GPT. Successful candidates from the GPT and eligible AIMA-MAT scorers will be called for further screening consisting of group discussion and individual interview.
Tests for FDIW, TDHF
Candidates answer the same General Proficiency Test (GPT) as above. AIMA-MAT participants with qualifiers as above will be exempted from taking the GPT. However, all candidates have to appear in the Design Aptitude Test (DAT), which examines a candidate for aptitude in perception, illustration, drawing, visualization, colour sense, etc. Successful candidates from GPT/AIMA-MAT and DAT will be called for Situation Test and interview. The Situation Test is a group activity in which you will have to collaborate with other candidates to implement a design brief with provided materials within a stipulated duration of time.
Selections process
Admission is based strictly on merit, judged from your performance in the written examination, group discussion, situational test, and interview, as applicable.

Iam a 12th class student from Dehradun and now i’am 17 but by the time my boards examinations will be over i will turn 18….i want to do my further studies in fashion designing from Pearl only….by looking at the procedure of entrance exams make me little worried…..iam just good in sketching only and thats the only thing i know….and i really want to be in Fashion. pls.help

heyy..im a student of class 12… ive commerce with maths…. i want to pursue career in fashion communication… after doing my graduation what all options will i have????? what are the various cources that i can opt for after my graduation from pearls????? what kind of jobs will be avaiable????? does fash comm require drawing skills, as im good only at sketching, and colouring …. but my drawing is not very good???????
