ILI CAT 2011 Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test

Indian Law Institute (ILI) conducts Common Admission Test (CAT) 2011 entrance test for admission to its LLM program.

Course Offered:
LLM

Eligibility Criteria ILI CAT 2011:
The examinee must have LLB degree from an institute accredited through bar Council of India with at least of 50 % aggregate. Those in their final year can also apply for provisional admission.

Key Dates (Tentative):
1st week of May, 2011 will be Date of Availability of Application forms
2nd week of June, 2011 will be Last date of submitting completed form
Mid of June, 2011 will be Date of Entrance Test
Last week of June, 2011 will be Date of Announcement of Results

Please note that the dates are only tentative and are not final. The post will be updated as soon as the dates are officially released.

Indian Law Institute CAT 2011 Application Forms:
Application forms will be available directly from the institute or through sending a DD along with the request for form. Examinees can also transfer the form by the ILI official website (www.ilidelhi.org).

Selection Procedure:
Selection based on CAT entrance exam, Group Dissection and Personal Interview.

Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test 2011 Test Pattern:

The CAT will comprise of three following parts:

Part I (30 marks): Will consist of 30 Objective Type Questions from English Language and General Knowledge

Part II (60 marks): Will consist of 60 Objective Type Questions from Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, IPC, Public International Law, Commercial Law (Contract and Specific Relief Act, Partnership and Sale of Goods Act), Law of Torts, Law of Limitation and Family Laws

Part III (40 marks):Will consist of 5 Subjective Type Questions from (i) Jurisprudence, (ii) Constitutional Law, (iii) IPC, (iv) Commercial Laws (Contract, Partnership and Sale of Goods Act) and (v) Family Law. Word limit for each answer will be 150 words.

For objective type questions there will be minus marking of 1/4th marks for incorrect answers. Viva Voce will be of 20 marks.
