OET Exam 2011 Occupational English Test
The Occupational English Test (OET) 2011 is a Language Test for abroad eligible medical and health professionals whose 1st language is not English. The Test measures the language competency of health professionals who are seeking registration and the ability to practice in an English-speaking context. The OET will be directed in January, March, May, June, August, October and November. The test is conducted in over 40 locations all over the world, adding Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai in India.
Presently, OET assesses English language competency as it is utilized in the following professions in Australia:
Dentistry
Pharmacy
Dietetics
Podiatry
Medicine
Physiotherapy
Nursing
Radiography
Occupational
Therapy Speech
Pathology Optometry and
Veterinary Science
Register for OET:
Candidates fill in the online application, it is necessary to enter all information accurately. Candidate’s current country ID card or passport number will be used for identification purposes at the test. If the identification you bring on the day of the test does not exactly match candidate’s online record or if it is no longer current, candidates will not be allowed to sit. If candidates are sitting the test in Australia, candidate’s MUST offer candidate’s current, valid passport as identification – no other type of photo ID will be accepted. The address in our database will appear on candidate’s Statement of Results exactly as a candidate enter it, and is where candidate results will be sent. If it is not correct, candidates may not get your Statement of Results. If candidates require another copy of your results, a fee will be charged.

I’m a US citizen but i’ve completed my dental degree in India; am I required to take the OET in order to pursue a post-graduation in dentistry in Ausralia??
