Tamil University is a State University and the member of AIU (The Association of Indian Universities). Tamil University is UGC recognized and Acerbated by NAAC has rated it B++ grade. Tamil University is located in the region of about 7km from Thanjavur. Tamil University was founded in the year 1981. Tamil University encourages advance studies and research in Tamil.

Application form
TNOU invites applications from in-service teachers for admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) – Tamil Medium For 2008-2010 Batch (Distance Mode) accredited by Government TamilNadu, NCTE & DEC.

The Application form also can be downloaded from The Official Website.

The Prospectus and Application form can be received from The Registrar, TNOU, in person on payment of Rs.500/- or by post sending a Demand Draft for Rs.550/- in favour of TNOU, payable at Chennai.
