Tax Assistant Exam Syllabus is Given Below
Paper I – (Objective Type)
Part A: General English
Questions in this part will be designed to test the examinees understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on error acknowledgement, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), vocabulary, spellings, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, sentence completion, phrases and idiomatic use of words etc., There will be a question on passages and comprehension of passages also. The standard of the questions will be only of 10+2 level.
Part B:
General Awareness
Questions in this part will be meant at testing the examinee General Awareness of the environment around him and its application to society.
Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observance and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person.
The test will also include questions relating to history, culture, geography, economic scene, general Polity, Indian constitution, sports, literature, scientific research, basics/fundamentals of computer, etc. these questions will be such that they do not need a special study of any subject.
Paper-II – (Objective Type, Multiple Choices)
Arithmetic This paper will admit questions on problems linking to number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions and relationship between Numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and Proportion, averages, interest, profits and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, time and distance, time and Work, etc.
