Indian Navy SSC 2011 Entrance Exam
Navy invites applications in the month of November from unmarried male Indian citizens to take a Short Service Commission in the Electrical and Engineering Branch of the Navy. The course starts out in the month of January and July. Applications are invited from unmarried male candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Executive Branch. Indian Navy conducts a selection process for engineering graduates for recruitment as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officers in Technical (electrical/engineering) branch of Indian Navy.
Minimum Educational Qualification for Indian Navy SSC
An Engineering Degree with 55% nu in Mechanical(Electronics and Telecommunication /Control Engineering equivalent qualification recognized by Institute of Engineers (India) as exemp from Section’ A ‘ and ‘B’ of their Associate Membership Examination.
Physical Standards for Indian Navy SSC
Height and Weight: Minimum acceptable height 157 cms with co-related weight (148 cms for female candidates)
Visual Standards: 6/36, 6/36 (correctable to 6/6 in each eye with glasses).
Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate should have B.E./B.Tech in any of the following disciplines or equivalent with at least 55% marks:
For Engineering Branch: Mechanical/ Production/ Aeronautical/ Marine/ Control
Electrical Branch: Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Avionics/ Instrumentation & Control.
Application procedure:
Candidates can either send a handwritten/typed application form (on an A4 size paper) according to the format given in the admission notification or download the application form from the website.
How to Apply
Completed, typed application as per prescribed format published in Employment News and other required documents must be sent to the Directorate of Manpower Planning and Recruitment (R & R), Naval Headquarters, Room No 204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 as specified.

SSB Interviews: January- June, 2011
Commencement of Training: July, 2011
