Raman Research Institute (RRI) was launched through Nobel laureate Sir C.V.Raman in the year of 1948 with finances from private sources. Raman Research Institute invites application forms 2011 for admission into its Ph.D course in the research fields like Astronomy and Astrophysics, Chemistry, Light and Matter Physics, Soft Condensed Matter and Theoretical Physics.

Course Offered:
Ph.D

Eligibility for Raman Research Institute Ph.D 2011:
A M.Sc. degree in Physics or Chemistry with 60% marks or a class B.E. degree with 60% marks

Application Forms:
Application forms 2011 will be available directly from the institute or through sending a DD along with the request for form. Examinees can also transfer the form by the RRI official website.

Selection Procedure:
Selection based on Entrance Test and Subsequent Interviews

Closing Date for receiving requests for Application forms: 1st week of March, 2011

Date of Entrance Exam: 2nd week of June 2011
