Northern Coalfields Limited NCL was established in the year of April 1986 as an assistant company of Coal India Limited. Its central office is settled at Singrauli in Sidhi Distt in Madhya Pradesh state in India. Northern Coalfields Limited NCL by its community growth curricula has significantly contributed towards betterment and growth of the field. It is assisting local tribal, non-tribal and project-affected persons in overall betterment of quality of their life by self-employments schemes, giving education and offering health care.

ISO: i4001-1996 certificate was granted to Northern Coalfields Limited NCL for its 8 functioning projects through M/S DNV in the year of 2001 for adoption of EMS. Now NCL’s EMS has been updated to ISO: 14001-2004 in June 2006.
