National Internet Exchange of India NIXI

The National Internet Exchange of India NIXI is a Non-benefit Company founded in the year of 2003 to offer neutral Internet Exchange Point services in India. It is owned up and handled through STPI. Its important intention is to facilitate passing over of national Internet traffic amongst the peering ISP members, rather than utilizing servers in the US or elsewhere.

STPI has created availableness the infrastructure at 4 locations at Noida, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Upcoming locations are Lucknow, Jaipur, and Bangalore etc.

Services
The NIXI services consist of:
Access to the layer-2 switched medium (fast Ethernet).
One IP address on the LAN with a reverse DNS mapping in the “nixi.in” domain.
24×7 watch service, 24×7 hardware maintenance and 24×7 helpdesk services on the NIXI switch.
