The Andhra University Visakhapatnam was founded in the year of 1926. Andhra University Visakhapatnam is a prime Institute of higher education in the country. It’s settled at Visakhapatnam in Andra Pradesh state in India. Sir Dr. C.R. Reddy was the founding father Vice-Chancellor of the Andhra University Visakhapatnam.

At present, the College of Engineering consists of twelve Engineering and four Basic Sciences departments, totaling to sixteen sections, providing fifteen Under-Graduate Engineering day-time curricula and four UG Engineering part-time curricula; twenty-eight Post-Graduate Engineering curricula, one MCA and three M.Sc. curricula in different departments. Whole the departments are also running Ph.D. curricula in different areas of research.
