Municipal Corporation of Delhi Act 1957
Municipal Corporation of Delhi under the act of 1957, the corporation also levies taxes including property tax, which is on residential also as commercial properties and house tax, which is on residential property during the city.

The corporation is involved in community development programs, which include making health centers, schools and other services of public importance in the urban also as rural fields. MCD also works for the advance of slums and squatter localities. The MCD is amongst the largest municipal bodies in the world offering civic services to more than estimated universe of 13.78 million citizens in the capital city.
