KMVN (Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam), an Govt of Uttarakhand taking in charge has achieved 1.97 crore net benefit during the period 2008-2009, while during 2007-2008 it received 1.10 crore net profit. He also informed that the new tourism season for KMVN and Kumaon region is good and is witnessing big number of tourists. Its forty-seven guest houses in the state are receiving good business.
KMVN is also in the process of growing accommodation services near Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand, which will have sixteen cottages and 10 cottages respectively and is expected to be finished through July this year and commence operations from November this year. The Centre had approved funds for growing accommodation facilities. Moreover, recently, KMVN began Public Relation offices in Pune and Hyderabad. Presently it has about eleven Public Relation offices within India.
