Distance Learning Linguistics
In 1990’s the Department of Linguistics has extensively originated postgraduate level courses in distance-mode, and is now more and more engaged in online-mode delivery of its postgraduate course work programs nationally and worldwide. The distance programs of Linguistics were selected by the University as the major component of the Macquarie Borderless University project and many individual units are now available on-line.
The program is thus fashioned to modify students to understand the diversity of issues inherent in the study of speech so they are well developed to teach and do research in applied linguistics. The Communication in Professions and organizations programs, the MSc in Speech and Language Processing, the Postgraduate Certificate in TESOL, and the Postgraduate Certificate in Editing and printing.
