In the year 1962 the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Punjab was founded to serve the Punjab state. In the year February 1970 the PAU was carved out by Haryana Agricultural University by an Act of Parliament. The university located at Ludhiana in Punjab state in India. Punjab Agricultural University is one of oldest agricultural university in the country.
At present the Punjab Agricultural University Punjab, by 28 departments in the 4 constituent colleges, provides 31 Master’s and 30 Ph.D. curricula. The PAU aims to offer quality education in the fields of agriculture, veterinary science, agricultural engineering and related areas.
