Fire Department Training Network is a nonprofit membership establishment devote to training fire fighter. The Network is for all members of the fire service – firefighters, officers, chiefs, training officers, and anyone else devote to preserve firefighters’ lives by training.
In Fire Department Training Network are various dissimilar types of fire departments. Some fire departments hire regular give firefighters and some fire departments are run totally by volunteer firefighters. Whichever position is hope, a firefighter must undergo rigorous physical and academic aim to insure a strong knowledge of fire safety techniques and the physical stamina to endure the tasks required by members of a fire department. Candidates for membership at a fire department must be able to reply rapidly in emergency situations. Joining a fire department involve that both physical and written tests are passed with scores manifest a careful knowledge of fire safety.
Qualifications
The Candidate Must be at least 18 years of age and out of high school.
The Candidate Must be able to read and write the English language effectively.
The Candidate must pass physical and psychological exam and agility test requirements.
The Candidate Must be living within responding distance from station (board-approved address required).
The Candidate Must reacts to 30 percent of fire calls each quarter for assigned station.
The Candidate Must attend weekly drills; three unexcused consecutive drill absences results in automatic dismissal.
The Candidate must attend 50 percent of scheduled drills each six month period.
The Candidate must attend rookie training through the Technical College and Fire Department.
