Bulk Feeding

What is Bulk Feeding?
Bulk feeding is one of five feeding scheme used by animals to get food. Bulk feeding is present by animals that eat pieces of other organisms or swallow them whole. Processing feed requires computer of ingredients in either bulk or bagged form. Micro ingredients such as vitamins or medications are often stored in pouch form, while element such as soybean meal or dical are stored in bulk form. Ingredients stored in bulk form are delivered to the feed processing center in 3- to 20-ton shipments. Bulk ingredient bins should be used exclusively for one ingredient. For example, soybean meal should not be placed in an empty dical bin if the soybean meal bin cannot hold all the meal when delivered.

Among the most flexible of organisms, omnivores like humans, use both strategies. These animals had large stones in their bellies, called gastroliths, to crush plant matter and issue its nutrients for further acquisition. Bulk feeding is one of the most common feeding strategies among animals, particularly amongst macroscopic animals, with which we are most familiar.
