Bill Handel currently hosts two programs on the radio in Los Angeles, California.
Bill Handel was born in Brazil. His father Leo Handel was a Polish Jew who had hidden in a Jesuit monastery and lived as a Catholic priest during World War II. Leo practical to immigrate to the United States legally, and was forced to wait for eleven years to obtain entry. Bill Handel emigrated to the U.S. with his fellowship when he was six and was sworn in as a U.S. citizen at the age of eleven. Bill Handel is the director of the Center for Surrogate Parenting which assist childless pair have children through surrogacy.
Handel is Famous to concern to himself as a “Latino Jew”. Although he makes fun of his personal heritage, and all stereotypes, one of his more serious and memorable excursions involved taking white supremacist John Metzger to Auschwitz to view the concentration camps and the gas chamber where his grandfather was executed. The German government in the first place idea that KFI was a neo-Nazi radio station and did not want to allow the trip, but finally relented after being presented with more information.
The Bill Handel proves is a four-hour day of the week morning program, which is usable live on the radio, the internet and in podcast form. The first hour is commentary, letters from listeners and general banter between Handel and “the Morning Crew,” a group of other radio personalities and station producers. From 6-7 am, the “Handel on the News” segment involves discussion and mocking of daily headlines.
The show will then commonly feature an in-depth interview with guests or a long discussion on a single topic, followed by a late edition of “Handel on the News.”
